Breaking News: Camden Authorities Arrest Local Man in Double Murder at Camden Wheels Of Soul MC Clubhouse.

The Camden County Prosecutor and Camden Police have announced the arrest of a local man in the double murder at the Wheels of Soul Motorcycle Club headquarters here in September.

40 year old Loring Lindsey was arrested Friday inside a home in 1900 block of Pierce Street. He was later charged with two counts of First Degree Murder, possession of a weapon and other charges.

Investigators say witnesses inside the clubhouse identified Lindsey as the shooter in the Sept. 20th double homicide. He was arrested by the U.S. Marshals and is awaiting a detention hearing in Camden.

The arrest comes two months after Police in Philadelphia and Camden investigated two separate violent outbreaks over that weekend at area Clubhouses belonging to the Wheels of Soul MC that left two men shot dead and three men stabbed.

Police say 38 year old Jermaine Wilkes of Philadelphia and 32 year old Jamill Jenkins were both shot inside the Wheels of Soul MC Clubhouse on the 800 block of Princess Avenue in Camden around 1:45 a.m.

Wilkes was pronounced dead at the clubhouse from multiple gunshot wounds, Jenkins died hours later at the hospital. No information was forthcoming from police as to whether either man was affiliated with the Wheels of Soul.

The day after the murders half a dozen Camden County Police cars and city officials gathered at the two-story clubhouse as detectives pressed their investigation into Sunday morning’s shootings.

Several club members were on hand as investigators entered the building. There were about a dozen motorcycles parked at the curb outside the aging clubhouse, which has been the scene of several violent incidents in the past few years.

Camden officials later boarded up the club house, effectively shutting it down.

The double shooting at the Camden Wheels of Soul MC clubhouse came just hours after Philadelphia Police say three men were stabbed outside the Wheels of Soul MC Clubhouse at 61st Street and Market St. in West Philadelphia. That incident occurred approximately 4 a.m. on Saturday.

Police say a witness transporting a 30 year old male victim to a nearby hospital with stab wounds to his left shin flagged down police. He was taken to the hospital and listed in critical condition.

When police responded to the clubhouse they found a 39 year old man who had been stabbed in the right thigh. He stated he was stabbed as he was breaking up a large fight outside the Wheels of Soul MC clubhouse. He refused medical attention.

Police say a third man, a 22 years old, transported himself to a local hospital with a stab wound to his left arm. He was treated and released.

Police sources say investigators are now trying to determine if the two violent incidents are related. Sources say there was a large number of members of the Wheels of Soul MC in the area over the weekend to attend a funeral.

Police could not say what touched off either of the attacks.

Southwest Detectives and the city’s Intelligence Bureau are investigating the Philadelphia stabbings.
